About Sandhills Insurance

Shelley joined the agency on August 26, 2008 after 11 years in the banking industry. She completed her CAIB designation in March of 2011 and became the Manager of Sandhills Insurance in May of 2011. Shelley looks after Home, Agro, Commercial, Auto and Hail Insurance at the Branch. She is also a Notary Public. Shelley has been in the customer service industry for over 36 years! She is committed and dedicated to helping clients. Shelley has two daughters, Meagan and Lauren and is a very proud Nanny to Navada, Errett, Wyatt, Sophie and Grace. She enjoys gardening, travelling, camping, volleyball, kayaking and hiking. She loves taking nature photos, especially sunsets. She resides in Leader with her Spouse Wayne Hittel.

Carma joined the agency in 1997 and obtained her General Insurance licence in 2001. Carma has extensive experience in motor vehicle licence issuing. Carma’s duties include all customer account processes. Carma and Kevin live in Mendham and have one daughter, Lexi. Carma’s education includes a Diploma in Agriculture Business with a major in finance from Olds College 1997, and obtained the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in March 2012 with honours. She is also a Notary Public. Carma enjoys travelling, fishing, spending time in nature and being with her family.

Jenna joined the agency on April 12,2021. She completed her CAIB 1 in April 2021. In June of 2022 she completed her Property and Casualty Level One. In the Spring of 2023 she attended the personal lines broker academy at SGI in Regina. Jenna’s post secondary education is a Diploma in Physical and Occupational Therapy Assisting and Certificate in Dental Assisting.  She was previously employed at Fox Valley RM as an Administrative Assistant in a temporary position. She is responsible for the general accounting duties of the office and insurance clerk. Jenna has two children Tenley and Jace, and bonus son Corbin. She is on the Fox Valley Arena board. Jenna enjoys being busy with her children’s activities, driving many miles for hockey and ball. She enjoys being outdoors with her partner Justin, going for bike rides, walking her dog, and golfing. In her spare time, she runs a home business doing pedicures and enjoys making bath bombs and resin crafts. She looks forward to advancing her career with Sandhills Insurance.

Dawn joined Sandhills Insurance in June of 2016. Her duties in the office include reception and front counter duties. Dawn has been married to Vern for 38 years and they have two sons, Devan and Tiffany, with her son Elijah; Kameren and Taylor, and two grandchildren, Kashton and Charlotte. They have two dogs, Pi, a 9yr old miniature Dachshund and Odie, a 2yr old Rottweiler, as well as a cat, Booker. They have lived in Leader since 2013. Dawn enjoys gardening, cooking, crafts, reading, photography, camping and fishing. She has been an active member of Riverhills Lions since 2014. She is also a Senior Consultant for Pampered Chef.
